Canal du Midi - Part 2

This was the start of us becoming experts at passing through locks with just the two of us on the boat. There is a singe lock at Argens and then from there upstream we would pass through a variety of single, double and triple locks every day on our way to Carcasonne. I am glad we had the downstream leg of our journey first to get confident with handling the boat. Here we were looked after by the lock keeper who offered to loop the ropes around the bollards for us while we both stayed on the boat but that doesn't usually happen. Next lock we would be on our own.
